The farm has been running since 1937. My grandfather already grew potatoes back then. In 1974, my parents took over the farm. The switch from conventional to organic came about because of my parents’ convictions and eagerness to take on the challenge of growing potatoes without the use of crop protection products and fertilisers.
I would like people from the city to become more aware of what they eat. When my son was 2 or 3, he was already coming along with us to the fields. If they get a chance to do this early in life, they have a better appreciation of potatoes and they’ll also eat more potatoes.
